Saratoga Blackland Prairie Natural Area, located in the Coastal Plain, contains high quality blackland prairies and associated woodlands, with few non-native, invasive species. A prescribed fire regime has been successfully reintroduced, long with other management activities that are restoring the natural structure and composition of the prairies and woodlands over significant portions of the area. Several rare plant and animal species are also found on the area.

DIRECTIONS

From Hope take State Highway 73 to Saratoga. Travel north on State Highway 355 for approximately 0.6 miles. Stay straight and merge onto State Highway 32, continue to Chapel Hill Road and turn right. The natural area is located at the end of Chapel Hill Road.
