Historic Arkansas Museum is a favorite for teachers looking for professional development hours. All programs are ADE approved. Teachers can book a group (minimum of ten) to come to the museum or invite a HAM staff member to their school. Whether presented on or off-site, the emphasis is on teaching history engagingly with artifacts and stories.

Coming to the museum, teachers can choose to visit historic homes, meet living history characters, explore the galleries and examine loan boxes or to concentrate on a single topic. Programs presented at schools are interactive demonstrations of how to use loan boxes in the classroom.
