Get your taste buds ready everyone! It's that time of the year again, when the Delta Cultural Center sponsors our annual Beans, Greens, and Cornbread Contest for 2025. This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the DCC Depot Museum, located at 95 Missouri Street in Helena, Arkansas.

Registration forms may be picked up in the DCC Visitor Center at 141 Cherry Street in Helena. These must be completed and turned back in by 3 p.m. on April 4. Participation is free, but registration is required.

Contestants may enter in one, two or all three categories of beans, greens, and cornbread. In addition to a winner in each of these divisions, there will be an overall people's choice.

Food needs to be delivered to the DCC Depot Delta Eagle Room, 95 Missouri St, Helena, between 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4. Entrants should expect to remain with their dishes until 1 p.m., providing samples to judges and visitors. Cups and utensils are provided by the DCC.

Visitors to this event can sample the entries and vote for their choice of the best overall cook.

Winners will be announced at 1 p.m. and entertainment will be provided.
