Scarlet Sims

Artist Services Manager

This workshop is ideal for visual artists who are looking to price their works to sell. Learn best practices for pricing your visual art and expertise during a special, in-person workshop.

This learning experience will delve into how creatives determine what prices to set to sell their works and time; how creatives think about valuing their time and work; and how to develop diverse revenue streams as an artist while setting your value.

Facilitator and artist Robert Bean, formerly an arts professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and an educator at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and for Mid-America Arts Alliance, has run his own arts business for years and is an expert in visual arts, gallery work, sales, commissions and business development.

This workshop will be in-person at South Arkansas Arts Center, which will be providing refreshments. Reservations are required by March 12.

About our Facilitator

Robert Bean has been slinging his own unique brand of visual stories on canvas and paper since the late 1990s. A graduate of the School of Visual Art at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Bean served as the Department Chair of Painting and Drawing at the Windgate Art School of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and recently was an adjunct instructor of figure drawing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Bean is a facilitator for Mid-America Arts Alliance’s Artist INC programs, which focus on professional development skills for creatives. He is also a recipient of a 2022 Individual Artist Fellowship Award for graphic novel art. For more information visit rbfineart.com.
