LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of Arkansas Heritage, invites the public to attend this year’s Artist INC LIVE: Little Rock WorkShare night, where each of our artists will give a 5-minute presentation that highlight their creative practice and artistic journey. The event is free, but RSVPs are suggested.

The event, which will be held 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Arkansas Heritage, will feature art talks, displays of artworks, food and beverages. Please RSVP to make sure you have a seat.

Join us in celebrating this year’s cohort, their artworks and their creative journeys. Presenters are: Cedric Black, April Burris, Rayne Cottrell, Finley Daniel, Rhoda Deon, Lafayette DeRamus, Kie Goldsby, Kendra Hendrix, Tanya Hollifield, Dan Koops, Lo Patt, Susan Prowse, Beth Simpson, Steve Spencer, Shawn Standley, Lucy Towbin, Gabrielle Vernor, Annika Wade, Peggy Wenger and Lynda Williams.

Central Arkansas creatives, who were chosen for their artistic excellence, gathered once a week over the past eight weeks to explore and develop the professional aspects of their artistic practices. Our cohort of creatives is a cross-disciplinary group that connected and networked while creating strategic frameworks toward enduring artistic careers.

Artist INC LIVE: Little Rock was led by local, professional creatives who facilitated a safe, learning experience that uplifted individual artists’ careers while strengthening the creative eco-system in Central Arkansas. All fees for the program were waived for artists, thanks to the sponsorship of the Arkansas Arts Council.

Artist INC, a program through Mid-America Arts Alliance, is a training seminar series designed to address the specific professional and entrepreneurial challenges that artists of all disciplines face in their practices. Artists learn and grow together through artist facilitator mentoring, small group activities, large group discussions, multimedia lectures and networking opportunities.
