I am Jannetta Carney, a seasoned scenic artist and theatre teacher with a rich artistic background. Holding a B.S.E in Education from the University of Central Arkansas and an Associates Degree from Westark Community College. My commitment to education and the arts spans over 22 years. As the scenic and paint charge for Russellville High School's theatre program since 2005, I have not only honed my skills but also cultivated a deep understanding of scene painting, costuming, makeup, and props. I also have a creative business where I teach step by step painting and paint window and wall murals.
In an educational setting, my approach to art is informed by my extensive experience as a theatre teacher and scenic artist. My residency program aims to empower students and teachers to unleash their creativity even with minimal budgets and limited resources.
