Arkansas Artist Registry

The online Arkansas Artist Registry is a free service provided to the visual arts community. Visual artists may post contact information, a link to their website and display up to 10 images of their work. The registry does not include films at this time.

Benefits:

It is an excellent tool for visual artists who would like a web presence, and for arts enthusiasts and supporters to discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
Artist Registry members receive our e-newsletter and e-blasts as well as information about workshops, competitions, calls for entry and other postings. Members are also eligible to participate in Small Works on Paper, the annual juried visual art exhibition sponsored by the Arkansas Artist Registry.

I was a loner when I was a kid, an only child, one of those people who become serial killers, bank robbers or artists. I wasn't interested in serial killing. I tried robbery, stole a watch when I was 10 but got caught and took up art. They haven't caught me at that yet.

I use the materials and styles of the Old Masters to express images and ideas of the present, or timeless archetypes and myths set in our present day environments. But I have no formula or rules except to express the truth as I see it. Each of my paintings, prints, sculptures or whatever is a discovery, each with its own formula and rules. I never know what's coming next, I only hope it's something. I approach each image with fear and trembling, pretending it's my first and hoping it's not my last.
