THE ARTIST REGISTRY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS OR REGISTRATION.

The online Arkansas Artist Registry is a free service provided to the visual arts community. Visual artists may post contact information, a link to their website and display up to 10 images of their work. The registry does not include films at this time.

Benefits:

It is an excellent tool for visual artists who would like a web presence, and for arts enthusiasts and supporters to discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
Artist Registry members receive our e-newsletter and e-blasts as well as information about workshops, competitions, calls for entry and other postings. Members are also eligible to participate in Small Works on Paper, the annual juried visual art exhibition sponsored by the Arkansas Artist Registry.

I explore the impact cross-cultural influences (Chinese and American) have had upon my development and growth. Self-Portraiture as the most direct and appropriate way for me to investigate this theme. I use symbolic color, pattern and iconography to represent the two cultures. My work uses this combination of figure, color, pattern and the mix of real and flattened space. I have expanded my concept of the self-portait to include imagery of my family and environment because of how these things influence me and are a reflection of who I am. My artwork reflects my journey, my identity and the transformation that I have gone through.
