I’ve spent a lifetime putting together my own personal puzzle, and in the past decade, dove deeper with the use of inks, paints, and collage. A deep understanding of color theory and my intuitive approach permeate underlying narratives infused in my works. These stories often reach back to my youth as the child of a military family, and the travels, travails and triumphs that accompany that lifestyle. My innate curiosity and playfulness shines through my work and is tempered only by my serious studio practice. I returned to school and earned a studio art degree from UA at Little Rock after a full career as a social worker. Making well designed art and helping others connect with their most creative selves is my mission, fulfilled through teaching at various venues including my own studio and as faculty at the Museum School of the Arkansas Art Center. I’ve also taught on the collegiate level as an adjunct instructor.
