A.T. (Arthur Thomas) Watt studied painting with several renowned artists, including Donald Roller Wilson and Dana Loomis. He received a BA in Fine Art at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, followed by Post-Baccalaureate study at the San Francisco Art Institute, and received an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the Ohio University. He has taught art and design at Ohio University, Northeastern University and Daniel Webster College as well as the Arkansas Arts Center. He was the curator at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas during its grand opening of the new facility, and has been represented in numerous exhibitions.
While primarily a painter of still life, the sea and sky have always held strong fascination with their ever-changing color and unceasing movement. For the past two decades time spent on the Downeast Coast of Maine has sharpened that interest.
His current focus is on the interaction of sea, stone and light.
