THE ARTIST REGISTRY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS OR REGISTRATION.

The online Arkansas Artist Registry is a free service provided to the visual arts community. Visual artists may post contact information, a link to their website and display up to 10 images of their work. The registry does not include films at this time.

Benefits:

It is an excellent tool for visual artists who would like a web presence, and for arts enthusiasts and supporters to discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
Artist Registry members receive our e-newsletter and e-blasts as well as information about workshops, competitions, calls for entry and other postings. Members are also eligible to participate in Small Works on Paper, the annual juried visual art exhibition sponsored by the Arkansas Artist Registry.

My work is typically a reflection of not only my mood, but my reaction to what I’m seeing and hearing in everyday life. Many of my favorite pieces started out as warm-up exercises. Watercolor is my go-to, especially highly pigmented earth tones, and I work best with rich colors and soft edges. Like most, I go through phases…sometimes working from a photograph of a favorite vacation spot or creating a kid-themed illustration, but more often I’m working on an abstract idea out of my head. Lately I’ve been working with various types of ink, using them alongside watercolor and pastel pencils. My favorite way to create is to drop some pigment and let the paint or ink take control and see where it takes me.
