The visual experience is quite unique and certain elements accomplish certain things. Everything about us is derived from some sort of chemical and physiological reaction. I capture the biological concept of emotion and mortality with many types of paint on various surfaces. I mainly use oil paint saturated in turpentine, and I paint over large pieces of gessoed paper. Turpentine makes the paint separate and drip. The drips convey the very wet attributes of our biological make-up and functions. My color choices also stem from bodily (things such as blood, puss, veins, skin, mucus, and other) secretions. When viewing my art, I hope individuals possess an emotional reponse within themselves. My art will continue to grow and change and I am looking forward to what is to come.
