5 - 8 pm - Free -  Enjoy the museum after hours on the second Friday of every month, with an occasional exhibit opening, live music, refreshments and Museum Store shopping.
Second Friday in July - 5-8 p.m. - Free - This new annual tradition celebrates historic beer recipes with a homebrew contest! Guests can come and try various beers made from historic or traditional beer recipes during 2nd Friday Art Night. Also enjoy live music, refreshments and activities on the historic grounds.
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Free -  Cool down with ice-cold lemonade and refreshing watermelon as we celebrate Independence Day as it was celebrated on the Arkansas frontier with period music, living history performances, crafts and a traditional reading of the Declaration of Independence.
Thursday before Oct. 31 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Free -  This annual event offers kids a haunted peek into Historic Arkansas Museum. Bring your candy bucket for free treats!
First Sunday in December, 1 – 4 p.m. - Free -  This event celebrates the holidays as it was in the 1800s with living history, carols, reenactments, live music, dancing and more. Visitors come from across the state every year for our famous hot cider and ginger cake, as well as Arkansas-made holiday shopping in the Museum Store.
Second Friday in December, 5 – 8 p.m. - Free -  This popular celebration of a favorite holiday drink is a friendly competition for the best eggnog in Little Rock. Guests are invited to sample a variety of nogs ranging from historic recipes to contemporary innovations, then vote for their favorite. It's also a great time to finish up (or start!) your holiday shopping in the Museum Store, with the best of Arkansas-made.
