Learn the fundamentals and get expert tips on finding grants and making them work for you during our free, Lunch & Learn workshop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 2 in Titus, Room 107, at Philander Smith University. This workshop is for individual creatives, nonprofit organizations, tax-exempt entities, etc. 

This hands-on learning experience will help individual creatives, university staff dedicated to the arts and nonprofit leaders discover how to find the right grants that build up individual career opportunities, collaborations and the foundation of our creative economy.

Discover how to find opportunities that align with your specific goals and needs. Find out what grants are for, who they are for, how they work and how to begin. Delve into the practical aspects of grant applications and discover tips for proposals. Find out how best to articulate your vision and mission and give impact and meaning to your grant proposals. This workshop will help creatives feel more confident and equipped to navigate and compete in the world of grant funding and will help them bring their artistic and community vision to life.

Lunch will be provided. The workshop is free, but reservations are required.
