THE OLD STATE HOUSE MUSEUM PLANS A ‘MONSTER’OUS GOOD TIME FOR BIG BOO!-SEUM BASH!

LITTLE ROCK--The Old State House Museum invites ghosts and goblins, witches and wizards of all ages to celebrate Halloween at the Big Boo!-seum Bash. The event will be held on Friday, October 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. In addition to the many spooks and spirits sure to be present, visitors can see Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein and other monsters immortalized in classic horror tales and movies. Everyone is encouraged to come in costume and participate in hands-on Halloween activities and games, and candy will be given to young trick-or-treaters. Free shuttle service between participating Little Rock museums is available. Admission is free at all venues.
This year the Old State House Museum is joining with nine other museums in hosting this Halloween event, including the Central High School National Historic Site, the Clinton Presidential Library, Curran Hall Visitor Information Center, Ernie’s Museum of Black Arkansans, Historic Arkansas Museum, the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, the Museum of Discovery, and the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, in partnership with the Arkansas National Guard Museum. ABOUT THE OLD STATE HOUSE MUSEUM The Old State House Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Guided tours are available seven days a week; please call in advance for group tour reservations at (501) 324-9865. Admission to the museum is free.
The Old State House Museum is a museum of the Department of Arkansas Heritage and shares the goal of all seven Department of Arkansas Heritage agencies, that of preserving and enhancing the heritage of the state of Arkansas. The other agencies are the Arkansas Arts Council, Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, Delta Cultural Center, and Mosaic Templars Cultural Center.
